The Pinker Tones Use Their Shades to Go "Invisible"
Sunglasses are good for providing shade, looking cool, and making inanimate objects appear human. If you’re a kid, they can even make you invisible a la awful 1999 comedy Big Daddy.
The Pinker Tones are no strangers to sunglasses. In their new video “Invisible,” shades are only the first step in effective disguising. The four band members try out a variety of hiding apparatuses before giving up and revealing themselves.
The track is built around a single phrase that’s repeated over and over, which translates to “I want to be invisible so I can make your life impossible.” It’s either about a relationship gone bad, a reference to The Fugitive, or the theme song for a game of hide and seek.
