Romania's Cosmin TRG's House Goes Deep, Outfit Goes Nerdy
Should we be led to believe that there’s a movement of electronic music forming in the land of vampires?
It may be too soon to tell. After all, this one relocated to Germany.
Cosmin TRG has been around for a little while, gaining props from the likes of Mary Ann Hobbs and Gilles Peterson since he started dropping records in 2007.
TRG does four to the floor music that you could call deep house or minimal techno, but really it’s his own thing.
It’s dancefloor fare, but it’s definitely a different experience in your headphones. The beats can go from driving “boomboomboom” to off beat experimentalism right before your ears.
A Universal Crush, a four track 12″ record, is the newest offering from the Berlin-by-way-of-Bucharest DJ.
It’ll surely join his other releases in influential crates around the world.
The track below is not on A Universal Crush, but it’s not far off.
