Mono/Poly Set to Drop Manifestations EP in April
You wanna be the wheel barrow, the car, or the top hat?
The Brainfeeder artists have been taking turns flexing their superhero muscles for some time now, and every day there are more people watching. If Mono/Poly had an audience for his summer 2010 release Paramatma, no doubt the audience for his upcoming Manifestations EP has grown exponentially.
While some other Brainfeeders make the ambience-laced, sunshiny beats you’d expect from folks living in LA, Mono/Poly’s first record displayed the hip hop deconstructionist sentiment of Mr. Oizo’s Analog Worms Attack.
The difference is Mono/Poly’s choice of sci-fi and conspiracy theorist voice samples. Someone was watching Loose Change while making this record.
There’s no telling what exactly Manifestations will sound like, since only one track can be heard on the internets and word has it that no two tracks are the same. We’ll just have to wait until April 4th to find out.
