Brainfeeder Takes Over Benji B's BBC Radio 1 Show

It’s a takeover!

Feeding brains worldwide.

A couple of weeks back, the BBC Radio 1 host Benji B took a well deserved vacation, perhaps not realizing that his studio would be taken over by a pack of Angeleans with a penchant for ambient textures and bass music. LA’s Brainfeeder crew, led by Flying Lotus, ran Benji’s show for a day, and the result was two hours of pure nastiness.

Matthew David, Teebs, Austin Peralta, Gaslamp Killer, TOKiMONSTA, and Samiyam, each took a little chunk of the show to play a miniset, with FlyLo playing the part of host in addition to a set. The squad had gathered at FlyLo’s home in LA, making mellow and echoed out conversation in between each session of music.

The crew keeps talking about the rainy weather in LA that day, a vibe that seems to set their voices and their beats a little slower and a little mellower as they make lot’s of noise in what I’m guessing is FlyLo’s living room, unless he’s got some kind of specially built chamber of sound in his house.

If you’re sitting at work and need a soundtrack to your day that will take the edge off, press play on this and don’t skip around. Just let it sooth you. It’ll work!
